The history of Bohemian textile enterprises at the turn of the twentieth century is at the intersection of historiographies of globalization and Central European societies. The border region of mixed population between Dvůr Králové (Königinhof) and Náchod had a dynamic linen and cotton industry at that time. In order to compete internationally, companies strengthened regional assets at a time when industrialization was leading to profound social transformations, including the increasing differentiation of Czech and German nationalities. We will present the preliminary results of an ongoing work on the social system resulting from the interactions between internationalized actors in Northeast Bohemia, carried out through the project ERC NEPOSTRANS (n° GA 772264).
