The paper, which will be presented, examines the role of university students in the newly founded Czechoslovakia during the 1920s, focusing on dormitories for destitute students in Prague. It explores how students were perceived as the future of the democratic state and how this perception manifested itself in everyday life, in student artwork, and in practical and economic decision-making.
